We must face/confront/stand against the emptiness/void/terror, and discover/remember/unearth the unbreakable spirit that lies within/deep inside/at our core.

The throes of oblivion was a siren's call, a gentle promise of rest. To succumb in its embrace was to silence the incessant chant of existence. The world's sharp edges blurred under the spell of its calm.

To truly desire oblivion was to yearn for a temporary respite from the burden of being.
